Chardonnays have a bad rap…we get it. Most of them are butter bombs with too much oak and let’s face it, that’s not how most of us like our Chardonnays. The good news is we worked hard to make a really well balanced Chardonnay, with some oak (not too much) and nice acidity to complement it. Oaky Chardonnay drinkers love it (obviously) but most non-Chardonnay lovers are also pleasantly surprised by this one.

Grape: 100% Chardonnay

Region: Central Coast, CA

Tasting notes: Aromas of ripe orchard fruit and baking spice. Flavors of fresh apple, tropical fruit, and subtle hazelnut. A well-balanced, round mouthfeel with refreshing acidity.

About the winery

The Miller family are 5th generation grape growers in Santa Barbara County who pioneered world-class quality wines in the Central Coast, most famously for their planting of Bien Nacido vineyard in 1973. They are also known for their sustainable and organic viticulture, including French Camp which is one of the largest organic vineyards in the Central Coast. The grapes are sourced from cool climate coastal vineyard sites for balanced expression and the average vine age ranges from 15-40 years old.
