This delicious Bordeaux is a true reflection of the winemaking behind it. The winemaker, Marine Dubard, likes to make delicate wines with a feminine touch and the result is an elegant and smooth easy drinking Bordeaux! No big tannins on this one, just a beautifully balanced wine with just the right amount of spice and earthiness. Another great value for a wine to impress your friends with!
About the wine
Grapes: 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc
Region: Puisseguin Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, FRANCE
Tasting notes: The well-integrated tannins first offer a silky palate to reveal a dense structure and a fresh mouth with liquorice and fruits of the forest aromas.
Food friends: Red or white meat, roast poultry, cheese and more…!
About the winery
Chateau Bel Air is one of the properties of the Dubard Family. Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, the family lives in Bergerac and owns vineyards in Lalande de Pomerol as well as in Puisseguin St Emilion. They recently obtained the “HVE” (High Environmental Value) certification. HVE Is a very thorough approach where the vines are in great harmony with nature. Some examples of that are bringing in bee hives during flowering to help with the pollination, monitoring the use of water in the winery and using the grapes’ skin and stems after pressing to give back the nutriments to the soils.
