About the winery

Nicolas Idiart, winemaker and founder of Maison Idiart, grew up with a love of wine, a passion he shared with his father and grandfather. He graduated from Bordeaux winemaking school at 19 years old (youngest ever!) and his passion for Loire wines brought him to work in Chinon, Touraine, Muscadet but also in Australia and New Zealand. Nicolas’ approach in the vineyard is to promote quality, sustainability, and social responsibility. He offers an alternative to the mass-produced wines and as a result you will find high quality, yet affordable, fine crafted wines shaped by the minds and hands of a contemporary winemaker.
